Prof. Dr. Rebekka A. Klein

Rebekka A. Klein is Professor of Systematic Theology at the Faculty of Protestant Theology at Ruhr-University Bochum.

For her research work she was awarded the Hanns-Lilje Science Prize for Freedom and Responsibility in 2019 and the Karl Heim Prize in 2009. In 2011 she was the only Protestant theologian to be awarded one of the Dilthey Fellowships of the Volkswagen Foundation.

Her main areas of research include political theology and radical democracy, theories of God’s weak force, love of the neighbor and altruism as well as vulnerability and bodily subjectivity as paradigms of a new interdisciplinary anthropology.
